Biography

Dr Sunny Lee is an interventional gastroenterologist offering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures along with providing expert care in general gastroenterology and hepatology, operating at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.

Dr Lee graduated from Monash University in 2004 before completing his gastroenterology training at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne and sub-specialty training in interventional endoscopy at Concord Hospital in Sydney.

He then undertook an advanced fellowship in ERCP and EUS at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Whilst in Vancouver, Dr Lee also completed his Master of Public Health (University of Sydney) with research into endoscopy unit funding.

In addition to his clinical interests, Dr Lee is involved in medical education as a senior lecturer at The University of Queensland and clinical research in endoscopy.

Dr Lee is a proud member of ANZGITA, a volunteer association delivering gastroenterology and endoscopy training programs to doctors and nurses across the Asia Pacific region.
