Biography
Dr Syed Atique is a highly qualified interventional cardiologist with a wealth of experience at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.
Dr Atique holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science from the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh and a Graduate Diploma in Laboratory Medicine from RMIT University in Melbourne.
He is also a fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Atique completed his postgraduate medical training at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne and his cardiology training at Royal Perth and Fremantle hospitals in Western Australia.
He performed more than 2,000 cardiac procedures during his interventional fellowship at Canberra Hospital in Canberra and Liverpool Hospital in Sydney.
Before locating his practice in Rockhampton, Dr Atique was a resident physician at the National Heart Centre Singapore.
