Biography

Dr Talib Al-Jumaily graduated from the University of Basrah, Iraq, in 1993 before undertaking postgraduate training in general medicine in London. After obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), he continued his specialist training at the Royal Free Hospital in the United Kingdom. Since 2006, he has worked in the Department of General Medicine at Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Al-Jumaily’s clinical interests include general medicine, diabetes and its complications, hypertension, osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease prevention. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2009. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) and the European Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (EBEEDM).
