Biography

Dr Terrence Scamp is a cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast. He is a graduate of The University of Queensland and underwent his internship at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Two years after graduation he moved into surgical training and obtained experience in vascular, orthopaedic, neurosurgery and general surgery. Dr Scamp commenced his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 1986 at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, returning to Princess Alexandra Hospital in 1987 for further training in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. In 1988, he commenced three and a half years of international training in Scotland, Bristol, Harley Street London, Belgium, Slovenia, Germany and USA.

Dr Scamp received specific training in a Cosmetic Fellowship in Harley Street from Europe’s leading aesthetic surgeon, Mr Frederick V Nicolle. He obtained his qualifications as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1990.

Dr Scamp was part of the investigative group for the registration of a group of injectable fillers in Australia and subsequently has served as a trainer in injectables and as part of a expert team on advisory boards in the use of toxins and fillers. In 1991 he established Esteem Clinic, focusing on non-surgical anti-ageing techniques on the Gold Coast. Dr Scamp has served as a member of the advisory boards for Galderma and Allergan and is regularly invited to speak at non-surgical rejuvenation conferences. His philosophy is simple–to rejuvenate the face by exploring all means, combining both surgical and non-surgical options to achieve the optimal result.
