Biography

Dr Thomas Nathow is a physician practicing at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.

After graduating in 1997 from the University Leipzig, Dr Nathow completed his advanced training in Internal Medicine before obtaining further qualifications in sleep medicine and emergency medicine.

Following a voluntary year as a Senior House Officer at the Caboolture Hospital and Redcliffe Hospital emergency departments, Dr Nathow moved to Australia in 2008 to become Consultant Physician in General Medicine at Ipswich General Hospital. Dr Nathow obtained his Fellowship with the College of Physicians in 2010.

Dr Nathow enjoys the acute and subacute management of medical patients and teaching junior doctors including his supervision work of year 3 Medical students from The University of Queensland.

Dr Nathow founded the Ipswich Research Institute in 2014 to give patients access to national and international research projects and engage researchers and pharmaceutical companies to use local resources.
