Biography

Dr Tim O’Sullivan is an Australian trained gastroenterologist and advanced therapeutic endoscopist operating at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.

Dr O’Sullivan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from James Cook University in 2013, receiving commendation for the highest aggregate marks of the cohort.

He undertook his core gastroenterology training in Queensland across Mater, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Dr O’Sullivan subsequently completed a two-year fellowship at Westmead Hospital, Sydney. During this time, he undertook advanced endoscopy training with a core focus on tissue resection including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and third space endoscopy (perioral endoscopic myotomy).

He is passionate about research and completed his PhD at the University of Sydney in colorectal endoscopic resection.

Dr O’Sullivan practises general gastroenterology and performs consultative practice, as well as open access procedures. In addition to his private practice, he works at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) hospital.
