Biography
Dr Trupti Jadhav is a paediatric neurologist and epileptologist consulting at Mater Private Hospital Townsville. She relocated to Townsville in 2024 to support the development and expansion of paediatric neurology services across North Queensland.
Dr Jadhav completed her initial paediatric neurology training in India before undertaking advanced specialist training at the prestigious Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. She then pursued further subspecialty certification in clinical neurophysiology, EEG, and epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States.
Dr Jadhav holds EEG certification from the Asian Epilepsy Academy and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2018.
Prior to relocating to Queensland, Dr Jadhav spent six years at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne as part of the Children’s Epilepsy Program, where she led the Ketogenic Diet Program for epilepsy management.
Dr Jadhav is actively involved in clinical research through the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne and Townsville University Hospital, where she also holds a public appointment. Her work includes leading a pilot project to deliver paediatric EEG services to rural and remote communities across Far North Queensland.
She is known for her compassionate and holistic approach to care, with a strong focus on supporting the entire family unit. Dr Jadhav is committed to integrated, multidisciplinary care and collaborates closely with allied health professionals, paediatricians, and general practitioners to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
