Dr Vikram Jain

Dr Vikram Jain’s decision to pursue medical oncology was inspired by the positive interactions with cancer patients, which he experienced early in his career whilst working as a House Officer at Mater Hospital Brisbane.     

Dr Jain completed Internal Medicine Training in Brisbane in 2007 before undertaking specialist training in Medical Oncology at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Mater Hospital Brisbane and the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. This was followed by a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London where he specialised further in the treatment of GI malignancies. As a clinical research fellow, Dr Jain was extensively involved in the development of a number of clinical trials, from concept stage through to implementation.

Dr Jain is committed to providing his patients with high quality, evidence-based care which is focused on their needs. He firmly believes in providing comprehensive care to his patients rather than just treat their cancer. 

He consults at Mater Cancer Care Centre Brisbane and at Mater Private Hospital Redland. He also conducts an outreach clinic in Bundaberg.
