Biography
Dr Vinay Srinivasa has specialist training in both adult general medicine and nephrology. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019.
Born in the United Kingdom, Dr Vinay spent his early childhood in Papua New Guinea before migrating to Australia with his family in 1991. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, graduating in 2007. He returned to Australia in 2008, where he completed Basic Physician Training and Advanced Training in General Medicine at Gold Coast University Hospital.
Dr Vinay completed his nephrology training in both Australia and the United Kingdom, gaining experience at Townsville University Hospital, Toowoomba Hospital and Royal London Hospital. He is committed to providing patient-centred care and brings a strong focus on communication, clinical excellence and quality outcomes.
Dr Vinay has developed broad clinical experience across diverse healthcare environments and is passionate about medical education and training. He has contributed to education committees for medical registrars undertaking postgraduate clinical examinations and has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate medical students during their hospital placements.
