Dr Mya Mya Yee

Dr Mya Mya Yee is a General Physician with subspecialty expertise in hepatology and
perioperative medicine, consulting at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.

Dr Yee graduated from the University of Medicine 1 in Yangon, Myanmar, and
undertook advanced training in the United Kingdom, earning membership of the
Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2000 and Fellowship in 2007.

Before relocating to Australia in 2011, Dr Yee held senior leadership roles in
Myanmar, including Head of the Department of Hepatology and Consultant Physician
in Internal Medicine.

In Australia, she was appointed Senior Consultant Physician at Royal Perth Hospital,
where she leads clinical services in both the Acute Medical Unit and Internal Medicine
Unit.

Her dual expertise in hepatology and perioperative medicine makes her particularly
valuable in managing complex, multidisciplinary medical cases.

In addition to her clinical roles, Dr Yee is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of
Western Australia Medical School, actively involved in teaching, clinical supervision,
and physician training.
