Prevention and treatment of coronary disease and heart failure, TAVI, Mitraclip, cardiac conditions affecting women (stress cardiomyopathy, SCAD and MINOCA), complex high risk indicated coronary procedures (CTO PCI/Rota Ablation/ Vein graft PCI).
Biography
Professor Kuljit Singh is an academic coronary and structural interventional cardiologist.
He obtained basic physician and advanced cardiology training at major tertiary hospitals in Adelaide. He spent two years as a coronary and structural fellow at the Ottawa Heart Institute which is the largest and foremost cardiac centre of Canada. He returned to Australia in 2016 and started the TAVI program at the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH). He is a senior staff specialist cardiologist at the GCUH and Program Director of Cardiology Training and Fellowship.
Professor Singh completed his PhD in Cardiology at University of Adelaide with a research medal and has published more than 50 articles in high impact journals. His research work in the last 10 years has been focused on to understand the natural history and pathophysiology of cardiovascular conditions that predominantly affect women (Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy), Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) and Myocardial Infarction without Obstructive Coronary Artery (MINOCA) disease. He is on the Editorial Board of Journal of Geriatric Cardiology and a reviewer of more than 30 cardiac journals.
Professor Singh sees patients of all spectrums of general cardiology and has a keen interest in coronary and valvular interventions.
