Prof Sailesh Kumar

Prenatal therapy, multiple pregnancy, fetal growth restriction, obstetric ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis, high risk obstetrics.

Professor Kumar trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Singapore, UK and Australia. He has a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the RCOG and RANZCOG. He completed his subspecialist Fellowship in Maternal & Fetal Medicine at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital/Imperial College London before being appointed to the consultant staff there in 2001.

He is an accredited MFM subspecialist both in the UK and Australia and joined the Mater Mothers’ Hospital and Mater Research Institute-University of Queensland in 2013 as Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Senior Staff Specialist in MFM/O&G.

Since, April 1^st 2015 he has been appointed Head of Discipline (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) at the University of Queensland’s School of Medicine.
