Biography

Dr Shivanthi Kandiah is a General and Endocrine Surgeon, consulting in Capalaba and operating at Mater Private Hospitals Redland and Brisbane.

Dr Kandiah completed undergraduate medical school at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom.

She completed General Surgical training in Queensland in 2019 and subsequently undertook the Head & Neck and Endocrine Fellowship at Liverpool hospital, Sydney.

She completed the Royal College of Surgeons England Thyroid and Parathyroid Fellowship at Royal Berkshire Hospital, UK. She remained in the UK in 2021 and worked as an Emergency General Surgery Consultant at St.James’ Hospital in Leeds.

Since returning to Queensland, Shivanthi is a staff specialist in General and Endocrine Surgery in Metro South hospitals in Brisbane.
