Biography

Dr Gabriel James is an experienced and compassionate Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising at Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane. 

Dr James completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Sydney after working as a scientist in biotechnology and pharmaceutical development. 

His specialist training was at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. 

Dr James has worked in some of Australia’s busiest tertiary maternity hospitals including Gold Coast University Hospital and Mater Mothers’ Hospital. 

He is currently undertaking doctoral studies at the University of Queensland exploring fertility treatments to achieve natural conception and optimise pregnancy health. 

Dr James takes an empathetic, holistic approach to his patients’ health and takes great joy in being part of the journey of a woman and her family.
