Addressing unmet health needs is central to Mater’s mission and was the driving force behind Mater’s decision to build the first hospital in the master-planned community of Springfield in 2015.
The proposed Stage 2 expansion of the hospital will meet the current and future health needs of the rapidly growing Western Corridor and provides the State Government with a number of significant advantages over other options for delivering hospital services in the region.
Mater is working to convert the historic Mater convent at Mater’s South Brisbane campus into Catherine’s House, a perinatal mental health service for mothers, babies and families.
The Mater Private Hospital Townsville Master Plan aims to improve healthcare services for the community.
As part of this Master Plan a new multi-storey car park is currently being constructed on-site to increase parking for the hospital community. Once complete, the car park will provide over 400 new undercover parking spaces for patients, staff and visitors.
