Biography

“I enjoy playing a part in the miracle of new life, and feel privileged to be part of such an important event in a couples’ life together.” - Dr Michael Mastry

Dr Michael Mastry provides specialist obstetrician care to his patients, through his group practice Moreton Bay Obstetrics and Gynaecology. With over 30 years experience in obstetrics, he is compassionate, caring and devoted to the excellent care of his patients. Delivering more than 6,500 babies, Dr Mastry - who also has three daughters of his own - knows how important children are in our lives, and he loves watching families grow with each and every new addition.

One of the greatest opportunities of his career was when he was part of the Far North Obstetrics and Gynaecology Services (FROGS), providing specialist obstetrics and gynaecology fly in/fly out services to 19 Aboriginal Communities in Far North Queensland.

Now, through his practice, Dr Mastry provides a true group practice model, sharing patients and co-managing their pregnancies and births with Dr van Iddekinge. He believes in providing exceptional care to every patient, every time, and that is why he delivers at Mater Mothers’ Private hospitals.
