Biography

Dr Paul Peters trained in cardiothoracic surgery in London at the Royal Brompton Hospital and the London Chest Hospital, did a fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and worked as a Consultant Cardiothoracic surgeon at St. Batholomews Hospital in London and the London Chest Hospital before moving to Australia.   Dr Peters is a VMO at Greenslopes Private Hospital and has been since 2004. He also practices at Ipswich Cardiac Centre in Ipswich. Dr Peters was also a Consultant in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the PA Hospital between 2004-2014.

His practice includes adult cardiac and thoracic surgery.

Cardiac surgery: CABG , valve replacement, arrhythmia surgery, mitral valve repair, aortic valve repair and aortic valve sparing aortic root replacement, thoracic aneurysm surgery.

Thoracic surgery: Minimally invasive (VATS) operative management of lung, chest wall and mediastinal malignancies, pleural effusion, recurrent pneumothorax and empyema. Thoracoscopic sympathotomy for palmar and axillary hyperhydrosis is usually performed as day surgery.
