The Mater Private Hospital Mackay Emergency Care Centre is located at 76 Willetts Road, North Mackay and is open from 8 am to 10 pm, seven days a week. The centre is a fee-for-service emergency centre run by experienced emergency doctors and nursing staff, providing both adult and paediatric emergency services.

Fees
The fee for receiving treatment at Mater Private Hospital Mackay Emergency Care Centre includes an out-of-pocket expense which will not be refunded by Medicare or health funds. Payment is required on the day of consultation and the fee will vary depending on the length and time of the consultation. The relevant fees will be explained more in detail on arrival. Most accounts contain a portion that can be claimed back from Medicare.
Other items including medication, consumables and medical aides, such as crutches are charged at cost, in addition to consultation fees. Fees associated with pathology and radiology may also contain an out-of-pocket expense as these services are provided by independent, external providers which will invoice their fees separately.
There will be no out of pocket expense for review appointments or if you represent to the Emergency Care Centre with the same condition within seven days of your initial appointment. A Gold Card holders and Worker's Compensation Insurance will not incur an out-of-pocket expense.
