Biography
Dr Carissa Phillips is a highly experienced breast and endocrine surgeon at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Health Hub, Springfield.
Dr Phillips has special interests in managing benign and malignant breast conditions, as well as patients at high risk of developing breast cancer.
She holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Queensland and completed her breast and endocrine surgery training at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater Hospital Brisbane and Nambour General Hospital.
She is also a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and undertook post-fellowship training in breast and endocrine surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Dr Phillips is committed to ensuring all treatment options, including non-surgical, are explored in consultation with her patients.
She works closely with plastic surgeons to ensure patients are fully informed regarding reconstruction options in order to deliver excellent cosmetic outcomes.
