Biography
Dr Simone Geere is a specialist Breast and Endocrine Surgeon. She has been a qualified Consultant Surgeon since 2015. She also performs Acute General Surgery and is involved in Trauma surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Her Private Practice offers specialist treatment for Breast Cancer in addition to benign breast disease. She also offers specialist surgical management of endocrine disorders including Thyroidectomy, Parathyroidectomy and Adrenalectomy. Dr Geere also offers surgical management of general surgical conditions.

Dr Geere completed her fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. The majority of her training was completed at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in addition to working in a number of other Queensland Hospitals including Nambour Hospital, Gold Coast Hospital and QEII Hospital. She undertook a period of fellowship training in Breast and Oncoplastic surgery in Western Australia before returning to Queensland to complete a 12 month fellowship in Breast and Endocrine Surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2014.
Dr Geere holds consultant positions in the Breast and Endocrine Surgical Unit and the Acute Surgical Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. She is also a current Supervisor of Training at the PA Hospital. She works privately at the Wesley Private Hospital and Mater Private Hospital South Brisbane. Dr Geere is actively involved in Multidisciplinary Team meeting discussions of her Breast and Endocrine patients to plan each patient’s specific care.
Dr Geere is currently completing a Master’s in Oncoplastic Surgery through the University of Sydney. She offers oncoplastic surgical techniques in Breast Cancer surgery to improve cosmetic results.
Dr Geere works closely with a number of Plastic Surgeons in the Brisbane region to offer immediate Breast Reconstruction following mastectomy for appropriate patients.
Dr Geere is also an advocate for fundraising for Breast Cancer Research as well as being a supporter of active living. She regularly attends Breast Cancer fundraising fun runs including the Mater Chicks in Pink Fun Run.
She is a member of BreastSurg ANZ in addition to ANZES (Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons) and attends regular conferences to keep up to date with the changing treatments available for Breast Cancer patients.
