Biography
Dr Annie Fonda is a general practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in complex care, with a particular focus on mental health.
Dr Fonda practises at Catherine’s House, where she provides specialised support in perinatal and family mental health. She has extensive experience working with families navigating challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders, and is deeply committed to supporting individuals through the emotional transitions of parenthood.
Her clinical interests span a wide range of psychological concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (including birth trauma), complex PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attachment and relational difficulties, neurodiversity, and adjustment to new family dynamics.
Dr Fonda delivers comprehensive, patient-centred care that includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, integrative psychotherapy, medication management, and specialist referrals.
As a trained Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, Dr Fonda has a particular interest in attachment-focused and relational-integrative EMDR.
Her holistic approach integrates medical and psychological perspectives to foster resilience and promote wellbeing. Dr Fonda is dedicated to providing, compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
