Dr Jim McGown

Dr Jim McGown graduated in dentistry from the Adelaide University in 1992. He worked in private practice in country Victoria for a year before returning to his hometown of Hobart to work as an oral surgery registrar and in private practice.

Dr McGown returned to Adelaide to tutor dental students and work in a public clinic. He then moved to the UK in 1997, working as senior house officer in oral surgery in Salisbury and Southampton. He began accredited oral surgery in New South Wales in 1998, before moving to Brisbane to complete a medical degree at the University of Queensland.

After completing his internship in Townsville, Dr McGowan returned to Sydney to obtain his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. 
    
Dr McGown moved to the Sunshine Coast in January 2007 to commence practice at the Maxillofacial and Implant Centre at Lake Kawana.
