Biography
Dr Rebecca Byrnes is available for consultation at her private practice at 310 Bourbong Street Bundaberg and performs procedures at Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg.
Dr Byrnes has a clinical interest in lung cancer diagnosis and staging, pleural disease, infectious pulmonary diseases, chronic cough, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She has significant experience in bronchoscopy, including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).
Dr Byrnes completed her medical studies at the University of Queensland in 2005 and completed her respiratory training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She has worked as a consultant respiratory physician at Mater Private Hospital Townsville and Townsville University Hospital.
