The new multi-storey car park is now complete. The car park will provide convenient, undercover parking for 400 vehicles at minimal cost.

Parking will cost $5 up to 2 hours; $10 between 2 and 4 hours; $12 between 4 and 6 hours, and $15 for a full-day pass, plus a weekly rate of $30 is also available!

20-minute express parking is available in the Mercy Centre car park and drop-off zones will continue to be available at the front of the Mercy Centre.

The multi-storey car park was a requirement by Townsville City Council, as part of its approval of the Mater Private Hospital Townsville Master Plan, which has been designed to improve healthcare services to our community.

The $19.75 million car park has been made possible thanks to loan funding through the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF). Funds collected from the car park will be used to repay the NAIF loan, and for operations, maintenance and improvements.

Improving healthcare services for the community

The $19.75m project is supported by a loan from the Federal Government’s Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility and is being developed on the hospital’s Pimlico campus at the corner of Diprose and Lothair Street.

The new car park supports Mater’s commitment to provide healthcare excellence to the North Queensland community using the latest technology and innovation in a contemporary medical facility.
