Biography

Dr Catharine Darcy qualified in plastic surgery after specialist training in the United Kingdom in 2006 and gained her plastic surgery fellowship qualification in 2013 from Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

She worked as a Consultant Specialist in plastic surgery in Hobart and Cairns Hospitals, Mater Hospital Brisbane, Townsville Hospital and Mater Private Hospital Springfield.

With extensive experience in skin cancer plastic and reconstructive surgery, Catharine removes all types of skin lesions from basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas through to and including melanomas.

Catharine understands the importance of educating her patients about their skin cancer diagnosis and enjoys empowering them with knowledge to ensure they make informed decisions about their health. 

Dr Darcy moved to Australia to enjoy the lifestyle and join her extended family. She is an approachable, compassionate surgeon and is committed to achieving the best outcome for every patient.
