Mater's package offer for Maintenance Services

Mater has tabled a proposed three-year Maintenance Services Enterprise Agreement, commencing in 2026.
The offer includes wage increases and updated allowances, reflecting Mater’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a strong, sustainable in-house maintenance and engineering service.

This proposed agreement is now being put to eligible employees for a vote. It will only take effect if a majority ‘yes’ vote is achieved in the upcoming ballot.
It’s important that every eligible employee has their say—so we encourage you to participate in the vote.

Ballot: Thursday 11 June - Tuesday 16 June at 4pm

Mater's new agreement for Maintenance Services includes:

of 8% over three years, including back pay to September 2025.

Increasing from 23% to 25%

Creating a forum to raise and address important issues to Maintenance Services employees.

To include a dedicated section for apprentices

Including on call, meal, laundry, tool, and testing and tagging, along with the introduction of a Licensed Trades allowance.

Access period

Under the Fair Work Act 2009 (s180), this period is dedicated to ensuring all eligible employees covered by the proposed agreement have access to all relevant information ahead of the ballot, including a copy of the current agreement.

Ballot

Voting on the Maintenance Services Enterprise Agreement will be conducted online or by phone from Thursday 11 June.

Mater has engaged CorpVote, an independent provider specialising in secure and confidential voting processes, to manage the ballot.

CorpVote will:
  • Email eligible staff to introduce the voting process and provide further information; and
  • Send an email and SMS when voting opens, including your Voter Access Code, which is required to cast your vote.
