Biography

A/Prof Dr Thin Han is a senior consultant renal physician at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.

He graduated from the Institute of Medicine (I), Myanmar (Burma) in 1982 and in 1991 he continued his studies in medicine in South Africa where he practised for 15 years. 

Dr Han obtained Fellowship of the Colleges of Physicians of South Africa, a Certificate in Nephrology from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and a Master of Medicine. 

He moved to Rockhampton in 2006 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2009. 

Dr Han is a Director of Division of Medicine and Director of Renal Services at the Rockhampton Base Hospital (CQHSS) and a Discipline Academic Supervisor and Associate Professor at the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School (UQRCS). 

He is a highly motivated medical professional with solid academic knowledge, sound clinical background and excellent management skills.

He actively participates as an examiner in Year 3 and 4 Medical Student exams, AMC, PESCI and RACP clinical examinations. His interest is to provide quality clinical service as well as to do clinical research.
